Canoe / Kayak Tours
Participants will paddle on the West Fork of the Trinity River to observe waterfowl, alligators, shorebirds, beaver, and other animals and plants adapted to aquatic habitats. This is a great opportunity to experience the sounds of nature- bird calls are frequently heard along the river. The construction of Lake Worth and its impact on the river and surrounding area will be discussed. Tour guides will teach basic paddling skills and canoeing safety. Each canoe can accommodate 3 average sized adults (2 paddling, one seated in bottom of canoe) or a combination of adults and children. A parent/guardian must sign liability waivers for children under 18. All equipment, including lifejackets, is provided. This tour can also be held in the evening for a unique paddling experience, refer to After Hours Experience.
