We are pleased that you are visiting or planning a visit to the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge (FWNC&R). We offer many programs for all ages. Download our trail map or visit our online trail map and take a look at the many trails you can explore. Our trails will lead you through the diverse habitats represented at the FWNC&R such as Fort Worth Prairie and Western Cross Timbers Savanna. Before you come out, review our guidelines on what is permitted at the Refuge. Our operating hours change seasonally.
The Hardwicke Interpretive Center is open daily from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. In addition, a few selected programs and activities take place before or after hours offering additional opportunities to visit.
The Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge (FWNC&R) grounds are open every day (except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day).
Current Admission fees:
$6 Adults (ages 13-64)
$2 Children (ages 3-12; under 3 FREE)
$3 Seniors (age 65+)
$1 Discount per person (with Military ID)

If you are a frequent visitor, or would like to support the FWNC&R, please purchase a membership to the Friends of the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, Inc. Your membership includes FREE admission plus discounts on programs and gift shop purchases.
